Komala Krishnaswamy

Komala has a M.Sc. in chemistry from I.I.T.Madras (1987) and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Colorado State University (1994). She served as a research assistant at Indian Institute of Science (1988-1989) and as a postdoctoral fellow at Colorado State University (1994-1995) and California Institute of Technology (1995-1996). She has taught chemistry at California State University Los Angeles (1996), University of Houston (1997) and Houston Community College (1997-present date). She is currently professor of chemistry at Houston Community College.

Paul Clemens

Paul Clemens has a M.S. in chemistry from Arizona State University at Tempe and a Ph.D. in Environmental Toxicology from Texas Southern University. He is currently professor of chemistry at Houston Community College. His work experience has been diverse ranging from running a coatings company, supervising technical sales for a coatings firm, consulting, and teaching general chemistry and organic chemistry courses.

Secretary

Arathi Ramachandran

Arathi has a B.S. in Materials Science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (2012). She was awarded a C.P.G.S from the Department of Materials Science at University of Cambridge (2014). Her Ph.D. from the same department is expected soon. She has worked as a research intern at St. Gobain Glass in Thourotte, France (2012 June – 2012 September) and as a research staff (April 2017-June 2018) at Korea Institute of Material Science in Changwon, South Korea.

Neela Srinivasan

Neela Srinivasan has a M.Sc. in Physics from I.I.T.Madras and a M.S. in Computer Science from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her work experience has been varied. She has worked in the software industry, taught math in elementary and middle schools as a volunteer, did data analysis in the environmental science department at De Anza College, and she has been teaching environmental science at De Anza since 2011. She loves being out in nature. She has taught field and lecture classes in the Wildlife Science Technician Program as well as the introductory Environmental Science course.
